Bloodtinge
Set in the turbulent backdrop of Napoleon’s catastrophic invasion of Russia, Bloodtinge is a conceptual world-building project that explores the folk Slavic belief in ‘upirs’ and the unfortunate souls who hunt them.
All pieces were done on A3 Artboard in Acrylic paints.
The Ballad of De Whalesborough
Taking inspiration from the niche Cornish local legend of Roger Wellsborough, ‘The Ballad of De Whalesborough’ explores themes of morality and religious dogma in the backdrop of the Third Crusade. The story follows Roger De Whalesborough on his journey through the Levant, where he steals a shard of wood believed to be the True Cross and his subsequent journey home.
All pieces were done on A3 Artboard, in a mix of Acryla-Gouache and Acrylic paint.
‘Uniforms of the Russo-Japanese War’
A non-fictional illustrated book project exploring the uniforms of the Russo-Japanese War. I created 2 spreads to serve as a starting point for a larger section within an informational book on the subject.
All characters were done on A4 200GSM Mixed Media paper, in Copic Marker and Coloured Pencil. The backgrounds were done on A4 100% Cotton 300GSM Watercolour Paper, in Windsor Newton Watercolours.
